So I am a man of controversy. And I am going to be talking about how Obama feels that that the “Don’t Tell” Policy for the Armed Services should be revoked. Now I am not trying to offend anyone when I say this but I am in favor of keeping the policy just as it is right now. The policy right now does not forbid people who choose to engage in unscriptural sexual preferences from joining the army, it just says they can’t be open about it.
Now understand where I am coming from. Although I do not agree with homosexuality, a person does have that choice. And if those same people want to fight for their country well then more power to them. Now let’s look at a few things here for just a moment. Number one, military service is not required. If you are joining the military, you are making a choice, and by making the choice, you are agreeing to the standards and practices of the military. So if you are even signing up for the military in the first place, you are agreeing to the policy. If you do not agree with it, then there is a simple process of simply not joining the military.
Secondly, believe it or not, the policy is also there to help people who choose to be homosexual, helps them to hopeful prevent any possible harassing from soldiers. A lot of people would be uncomfortable with living in such tight quarters as someone who is homosexual, and those same people may not treat the person who is homosexual well if they know their preference. The policy therefore then its to help both parties.
You can say what you want. I’m not trying to discriminate against who are homosexual. I’m not saying they should not join the army. But if they choose to, then they should accept the polices and regulations which go along with that. I do not think the policy will ever change, and if it does, they are going to be asking for more problems then they already have. Obama and the rest of the Government who support the change are supporting it more to look good, rather then to do actual good. This is one area where I feel politics need to keep their noses out of it, and let the military do what thye need to do. I know it is important for people to be themselves, but in some situations (especially if you are agreeing to it) you have to keep certain information about yourself private.
I
I tried to keep this civil and I ask you please do the same (I am afraid I will have to remove any vulgar posts from the comments). Share your thoughts whether you agree or disagree on this issue.
Usually posts are not like this, but this one really got under my skin. Next week will be a super bowl addition. As always I would love to hear ideas for future blogs (sports, politics, religion, challenges in daily life) whatever it may be.
I would also love to use this opportunity to pray with people. If you have a prayer request, email me at WolverineFan001@hotmail.com (different email then the one listed on my profile I know) and I would love to pray with you about things going on in your life.
