Resolutions
People lets get this whole resolution thing straight. I am not being a pessimist here I am being a Realist. Now look. It is awesome if you have something in your life which needs change and you want to change it. But dont be making some outrageous resolutions you wont be able to keep. If you are going to do anything, set small goals (which is different from resolutions) which will be much more manageable. In other words, dont just say your going to lose 25 pounds this year. Cause if thats all you say, your not losing anything. It is great to want to improve your life, but be realistic, cause if you dont your setting yourself up for failure

Bowl Predictions and Urban Meyer Prediction
Let’s begin with the whole Urban Meyer issue. At first thinking he may be leaving for good, it is real no surprise when he came out and said he is just taking a leave of absence. Some coaches were made to stay in the game for awhile and he is one of them. I do not know how serious his health issues are, but it sounds like he wants to be back in time for the start of the 2010 season start. Maybe this whole issue is not as serious and he just needs some down time. Whether you hate or love him, he makes college football better and therefore I do really wish a speedy recovery to Meyer. But an interesting question is, what if the Gators want to stick with the new Interim Coach, who is currently their offensive coordinator. It may seem foolish to not want to take Meyer back, but if he can put up similar results is it really to crazy to think they may stick with him? After all, it Is not like Meyer can not get a job somewhere, tons of teams would be more than happy to have him as their head coach. I don’t think it will happen, I believe he will eventually return to Florida and even though I am not real crazy about the Gators, I do wish him well and hope he comes back, for football. After all, Tim Tebow will be entering the draft, so we will finally have something in the news of college football other than Tebow this and Tebow that.
On to college bowl games, I did not cover all the predictions but I covered many of which sparked some interest in me. I will not say scores, but I will say who will win.
Monday Dec 28th 5:00, Texas AM and Georgia. It will be right before MNF, and it should provide an interesting match up, of two teams who had relative successful seasons last year. If I was going to put money, I would put it on Texas AM
Tues 29th 15 Miami vs 25 Wisconsin 8:00, can the Badgers of the Big Ten be successful when they come from a conference who tends to slump in the Bowl Season, or will they prevail against Miami. The Badgers may only be 25 in the nation but they are a lot tougher than the paper may seem to tell. Although it will be close, I have to give it to Miami.
Nothing much going on the 30th. 20th Arizona and 22nd Nebraska maybe a interesting match up. Nebraska looked impressive against Texas (who should not be in the BS…BCS game but well get to that) so I have to give it to Texas.
31st. You have Oklahoma vs Sanford. I hate to say it but I Have to give it to Sanford. Oklahoma just kind of fell a part this season, not having Sam Bradford really hurt them.
Some interesting games start the 1st New Years day.
11:00 Northwestren vs Auburn, don’t laugh at this one folks, the Wildcats have had improvement this year, enough maybe to beat Aurburn
1:00 13Penn State vs 12LSU Tigers. Paterno vs Miles. I haven’t seen much of LSU this season but being number 12 in the nation means they done something right. Another very close game but I think I call an upset and give it to Penn State.
1:00 WVU against FSU. Hey it is Bobby Bowden’s last game. The man deserves to go out in a blaze of glory. I think his players will win it for him. FSU wins over WVU
4:30 8 OSU vs 7 Oregon, As much as I hate Ohio State, I want them to win. On that note, I don’t think they will. The Big Ten struggles this time of year and I think Oregon may be too much, in what will be a very close game. But I have to give the win to Oregon.
8:30 3 Cincinnati vs 5 Florida. The world found out Florida are not God of the NCAA and I think Cincinnati is powerful enough to beat the Gators. I give the win to Cincinnati, one of teams I would rather see in the BCS game over a over hyped Texas team.
Jan 2nd 9:00
MSU vs Texas Tech. I talk about this game because the Big Ten is part of the Big Ten. I am giving the game to Texas Tech. Why? Because MSU only accomplishment this season is beating UM, who sad to say had another deplorable season.
Jan4 8:00
6 Boise State vs 4 TCU two teams who I feel should be in the game instead of Texas. I feel this is going to be the very best game of the Bowl Season, it will be very close, very competitive, it will be an outstanding game. I give it to TCU in an extremely close game.
Jan 5th
10 Iowa vs 9 Georgia Tech . Another close game of two very great teams. I am going with the Hawkeyes
Jan 7 BS Bowl
2 Texas vs 1 Alabama
I do not think Texas should be in here. They are going o have many other chances, give it to a team like Boise State or TCU or Cincinnati. But no. I got a great feeling about my boy from Flint MI Ingram, I think he will lead them to a nice victory over Texas, for a BCS Championship.

Chri$tma$ or CHRISTmas
Christmas. The wonderful time of the year in which the Western World (well the consumerist world) indulges itself in food and gifts. Sounds kind of negative doesn’t it? I know what your thinking. Come on Dr. J, no reason to be Mr. Scrooge just because it is another year you wont be getting those sideline super bowl tickets. But has our society, even some of the people who claim themselves as Christians get engorged with the chri$tma$ season. But the thing of the matter is it is not about the chri$tma$ season, it is about the CHRISTmas season. It is about realizing during the CHRISTmas season, we are to remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (even though it is speculated he was born in the spring) it is the time when we celebrate the birth of the savior.
Now I am not out to make enemies. There’s nothing wrong with looking forward to giving some gifts, even getting some special is ok to look forward to. I know I’m looking forward to seeing family this Christmas and just hanging around the house. But what I can not over look, is the fact this is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord Savior. The same Savior we are to love, worship and celebrate the ultimate gift he gave us when he died on the cross. We need to move away from this society in which we are about getting and buying expensive gifts and remember what is really important. Friends, family. Being thankful for what the Lord has given us. It may not be Thanksgiving, but
we have so much to be thankful for, even if there are others who are better off than you, because you are better off than others.
Now I am not trying to be a kill joy this season, but I just want to stress this enough. There are more important things than gifts this season. And this season, let it be this season, if you haven’t already, be the season you realize those things which are more important. The things which is really what makes Christmas so special.
Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year

Mystery Radio Theatre Review
For those of you who have seen the Spring Arbor sensation Mystery Radio Theatre here is what Dr. J thought
It was an awe inspiring work of pure sensation. It was the best acting this man has seen in any sort of stage production. It had action! It had adventure! Romance! Mystery! Thrills! Sophisticated wit! I give this play the Dr. J seal of approval. Congrats to all of those in the play and who worked on the play. And that is the Dr. J thought of the day.

Fair weathered Fans
Fair weathered fans. They are everywhere. They are an abomination to the world of sports. They will “passionately” cheer for their team in a mantra like manner as long as their team is winning, but the moment things begin to turn sour and their team struggles, they are willing to cast their team out into the dogs. It is as disgrace of utter disproportion. It sickens my thoughts to know there are so many of these vile fans out there who so willingly hop on the band wagon, they would hop on the band wagon of death and destruction so long it looked promising enough to them. Let this be a plea from the Doctor you never becoming one of these heinous disgraces. A true fan always wears his colors proud, even though when he has the feeling of defeat following throughout him. Because true sports fans know there will always be another day to fight the battle. Be a true fan, and not some wish washy fair weathered fan.
As always the Doctor loves to hear your suggestions for his next topic. Whether it be sports, about life, etc, either leave it in the comments or email it to me, and I will give it much consideration for my next blog post. Thanks for reading.

Sorry Readers
Sorry fans that I have not done another blog in about a week. Though the title will remain thought of the day, I plan on making this more of a once or twice a week blog. As much as you want to hear from my vast wisdom (snort) with college and work it is all very busy and it is hard for me to sit down and always write something I think you will be able to get something out of (or when I have something to rant about). Anyways for my next blog, which I hope to make by Friday, I am letting you the reader choose the next Dr. J Thought of the Day topic. I talk about so many things from advice, to morals, sports, politics, whatever you want to talk about (appropriate topics please) leave a comment (don't let me look too sad please by letting it stand totally empty) and I will choose the most interesting one to write for my next blog. Thanks readers.

1st sports blog
Well fans sorry this blog is a little old, but this is my first of many sports blogs. Although Dr. J loves to counsel and try to help people with their problems, there is no way I can deny, I love talking about sports. I am going to focus on a number of different games that were a great interest for me.
First, let me take you back to the Michigan and Michigan State game. My beloved Wolverines did not do as I expected them to, and they lost to the Spartans. There was a number of things wrong, receivers dropping balls, not being able to stop the run or pass very well, a certain punter who thought he was going to try to run for the first down when he should of kicked it away, a INT during OT just to name a few. But Wolverine faithful out there who maybe reading this blog never fear. We are still going to have a great season. Tate did a pretty good job as a Freshmen QB. In reality, we did a OK job. Don't forget we are still in that rebuilding process, it may take a little while longer, but happy days will be back in the Big House. On the Wolverine note, this week they go to Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes (hence Iowa) in a 7pm (Eastern time) game. Iowa managed to pull off a win a few weeks ago against Penn State. It will be a tough one for sure, but if the Wolverines can pull it off, not only will we be ranked again (unless we get robbed) but it will show fans for sure Michigan is still on the top of their game.
As a Michigan fan, many people may expect me to be a Lions fan. This is really not the case. and since the Lions have nothing interesting to talk about (Sorry Lion faithful). Instead I am going to talk about Monday Night Football, where my team the Green Bay Packers lost to my boy Brett Favre and the Vikings. Now this game was conflicting for me because I wanted my team to get the victory, but I also wanted to see Favre get back at the Packers management. Th Vikings had a great game. AP was not as big of an impact as he was in some games, though he definitely had more plays, Favre's performance was outstanding. No INT, no sacks and 3 TD's (I forget the yards it was in the 250-300 range). While the Packers struggled in many areas, the defense and offense, where we saw Rodgers (who had more passing yards) get sack 8 times, a INT, and just one struggle after another. I hate to watch my Packers struggle, but as a man who never wanted to see Favre go out of Green Bay the way he did (aka being forced out of Green Bay, I was happy to see him take the first game. He may not say it has anything to do with vengeance, but part of it is, and on Monday night, he showed he can still play, even out play a certain performer who is the "future" of Green Bay. Brett Favre, I salute you sir.
And alas I come to my Tigers. What can I say more? They lost in the 12th inning. 4 hrs and 42 minutes of my life I will never have back. Rodney should not have itched as long as he did, players missing important catches, people swinging at balls when bases are loaded, one problem after another. The Tigers lost to the Twins and their season is over. I may suggest shake up the Tigers coaching staff a little bit. Something has to be done to try to prevent things like this from happening. The Tigers lead their division for most of the season, and in one night, it was all taken away. Unlike the Lions who lose most of their games and no one really has any real hope for them (again sorry Lion faithful) the Tigers had a shot to go to the playoffs and blew it!
That's all the Doctor has to say right now. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to have your feedback.

Greetings
Greetings to all my wonderful fans. I am going to keep this blog short. I first of all want to thank everyone for joining the Dr. J fan page (if you haven't already, please feel free to do so, I'd love to welcome you). Although Dr. J is more of a joke (so far) I think it is really cool you choose to support it. So really I do give you a hearty thank you. As always if you feel you want to talk to me, contact me by facebook, or leave a comment here with an email address and I guarantee I will get back to you in reasonable time.
I do not know if this is going to be a daily blog, mainly because I promise not to post some obscure blog about what I had for lunch (unless of course the food got off my plate and started to move, I think then it would be blog worthy). I am just going to ramble on about different topics (sports, philosophy, whatever) and I am going to pretend I have you on the edge of your seat, reading every word I written (snort). If you have a topic you would like me to discuss, suggest it, I will be more then happy to do a blog about it (if it takes a little time please be patient).
Anyways a thanks again for supporting to the Doctor. Looking forward to hearing from ya.
